Immersion Group is pioneering technology to tackle the climate crisis!
The problem:
Methane is 80× more powerful than CO₂ at trapping heat in the atmosphere
Over 30% of global methane comes from ruminant livestock burps (cows, sheep, goats).
Agriculture is Australia’s largest methane source, driving climate change and threatening sustainability targets.
Our Solution: Red Gold for a Greener Future
We grow a native red seaweed – Asparagopsis – nature’s solution to livestock methane.
We have a patented onshore cultivation system that is up to 1200 times more productive than growing seaweed in the ocean.
It stops cow burps – bromoform, a natural molecule in Asparagopsis, halts methane production in the rumen.
Big impact, small dose – just a handful of seaweed each day can cut methane emissions by over 80%.
Global climate potential – tackling up to 30% of livestock-driven methane worldwide
Productivity boost – cattle fed Asparagopsis gain 22–26% more weight by converting feed more efficiently.
Our Impact
🌍 Global customers in four countries – demonstrating global demand and reach
♻️ Target: >750,000 tonnes of CO₂e reduced annually – equivalent to taking Canberra offline each year
🐄 Target: 20% of the Australian dairy herd by 2030 – accelerating agricultural methane reduction at scale
